The Long Cardigan – A Spring Staple

Hello lovelies! Cardigans are, hands-down, one of my favorite pieces and a necessity to your Spring wardrobe. A slim jean with a bootcut or flare can work with your long cardigan if you want a boho vibe, but I tend to stick with skinny jeans or leggings. For today’s outfit, I’ve paired my cardigan with a white long-sleeved tee and skinnies. The look is completed with silver jewelry and white slip-on shoes. If you’re concerned that a long cardigan might make you appear short, simply add a shoe, sandal or ankle bootie that has a slight heel to elongate the body. Another great way to wear a longer cardi, is pulled in with a belt or layered over a dress, or over a simple t-shirt and denim shorts – perfect for a warm Spring day. I think you’ll find a long cardigan a versatile piece for your closet.

The cardigan that I’m wearing has a really interesting crochet-style design. It has an ombre look with varying shades of blue with silver threads woven throughout. I’m wearing an XS in the cardigan, which is from Macy’s. The Rockstar 24×7 skinny jeans are from Old Navy and are super comfortable! These jeans are the perfect length and hit right at the ankle (I’m 5’6 for reference). I sized up and am wearing a size 4, just because of how I prefer them to fit. But, I would say they run true to size. I also added white slip-on shoes that are the perfect for Spring. I spoke about these shoes in my previous blog. They are by Propet (purchased at DSW) and run a half-size large (I recommend sizing down). Get all the details below. Until next time! XO
