Living Coral – Pantone’s Color for 2019

Hi Friends! 🙂 The Pantone Color Institute has selected “Living Coral” as the chosen color of the year. So you may wonder, how does that impact me? You will most likely see this color appear in anything from clothing and beauty to gadgets and home decor. For example, the Beats by Dr. Dre urBeats Earphones or Google Home Mini Smart Speaker – both offered through Best Buy or Butter London Pantone Color Nail Polish – sold online through Ulta Beauty – all in the color of the year.

Interested in tapping into the trend? Here are a few inspirational outfits to help you add a little Living Coral into your wardrobe.

This gorgeous bold meets boho INC International Concepts blouse is from Macy’s. I love a saturated hue with crisp white jeans. It just screams SUMMER. Accessories, like a brown belt and animal print flats, tie the look together.

Coral works with a lot of colors, so for a fresh Spring vibe, try a dress with pops of coral for a casual day out with your friends. I received this dress from a StitchFix subscription box, but check out this adorable Stripe Button-front Dress from The Gap that features shades of coral and pink. Or for a fun floral option, this Strappy Button-front Tiered Midi Dress in hues of dusty blues, purple and coral.

While bright, vibrant hues are trending, coral can be muted. Add a touch of soft coral to your outfit with shorts, colored denim/pants or skirts. In the above outfit, I’m wearing a pair of cuffed 5″ Girlfriend Chino Shorts from The Gap. I’ve paired them with a simple top and flip-flops for an easy, breezy look. For a more dressy-casual ensemble, try with a chambray blouse, metallic accessories and wedges.

If Living Coral is a bit too bold for your liking, opt for a statement accessory like earrings, scarf or handbag.

What do you think of Pantone’s color choice? Are you a fan of coral?

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! 🙂

XO ~ Michelle
