Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday!! Any fun plans lined up this Memorial Day weekend? Will any of you be pool-side? Maybe take advantage of those sales? We will probably have a cookout, maybe grill up some hot dogs and hamburgers. But picnics and holiday sale shopping aside, I do want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all the veterans that sacrificed so much for our freedom. My dad, pictured below, served in the Marines. Our family couldn’t be more proud of you dad. XO

Well it’s Friday and that means time to share a few of my favorite pieces from the week. Let’s get to it …..

Outfit Details: Waffle Knit Button Front-Tie Top (wearing an XS) // Levi’s Mid Length Shorts (wearing size 2 – damaged goodies). // Grasshoppers Blaise Wedge Slip-on (wearing my normal 8.5). All items fit TTS. Let me first start by sharing that I’m obsessed with these Levi’s shorts from Amazon. I have always struggled to find a comfortable, well-fitting pair of denim shorts. Anyone else with me?? Until now, that is. I wear these all the time. They are the perfect length at 4″ (not too short, not too long). I love the cuffed detailing (which can be released, if you prefer) and the slight distressing on the damaged goodies option. But, hey if the distressed look is not your thing – no problem – they have a good variety of other colors and washes. Plus, they have a range of sizes from 00 to 18.

The waffle knit top from Kohl’s has quickly become another favorite of mine for Spring. I’m always cold….always. Except when I’m sleeping lol – then it’s like my internal furnace kicks in and I’m always warm. Been that way since I can remember. Anywho, even though it’s a long-sleeve top, it is very lightweight (I like to bunch the sleeves up), the buttons are functioning and it has a nice V-neckline. Not too deep. It really is just a great basic top.

Lastly, those shoes! I think one DSW reviewer said it best “casual, yet pulled together”. It’s slip-on comfort and style paired perfectly together. Even if I spend the entire day running errands, my feet don’t hurt. And personally, I enjoy the ease of a slip-on. Even though they are a closed toe shoe, they have a summery feel with the espadrille detailing, which I absolutely adore. I think these shoes could work with just about any style.

Where ever your plans take you, I hope you have a fun, safe Memorial Day holiday and weekend! Thanks for stopping by! ~ Michelle
