One and Done Dressing

Hey guys, happy Monday! How was the weekend? Our neighborhood yard sale went really well. We had a good amount of traffic and of course, Riley wanted to be in the center of it all. But, by the end of the sale, she was spent.

When your mornings are crazy-busy (did you sleep through your alarm and realized you only have 20 minutes to get out the door?) and you need a quick pulled-together look, what’s easier than reaching for one item. Whether that be a dress, romper or jumpsuit, it doesn’t take much to look fabulous. Just add a few accessories and boom– you’re all set.

Let’s explore ….

Outfit Details: Lou & Grey Brushmarl Shirtdress (wearing XS) // click here for a comparable embellished thong sandal // Kinsley Armelle Linen Bracelet Stack. I think a shirt dress looks absolutely perfect on its own, however by adding a bit of bling, such as with stacked bracelets and embellished thong sandals, adds some glam to this summery casual look.

Outfit Details: Sleeveless Racerback Floral Maxi Dress (wearing XS) // Rattan Crossbody and Tote Bag // click here for comparable white Ankle Strap Sandals // click here for an alternative to my Kate Spade White Enamel Earrings // click here for comparable White Enamel Bangle Bracelet and here for Silver Bangle Bracelet.

A maxi dress is, hands down, the easiest got-to-go piece in your closet. Since this maxi is pretty colorful, I kept my accessories neutral by adding a round rattan handbag and white/silver jewelry and sandals.

Outfit Details: My button-front utility jumpsuit is from Old Navy, but sadly it’s no longer available. Click here to see a cute, comparable option from Macy’s.

Jumpsuits – Your secret weapon for one-and-done dressing. Add some arm candy and slip on some great sandals and you are ready to go. Or, if you’re jumpsuit has a tie-waist like mine, remove it and slip on your favorite belt instead. Add a colorful clutch or handbag for a look that’s functional for work and play.

Outfit Details: My Greylin romper was from StitchFix and isn’t available, but I found a cute Lou & Grey Button-front Romper in navy as a nice alternative. // White Denim Jacket (wearing XS) // similar silver Long Tassel Necklace // My yellow sandals are from Talbots – from last year. They’ve since updated the style and now offer a really cute yellow sandal called the Keri Strap Sandal.

A romper is a great one-and-done item. And while cute on it’s own, don’t be afraid to accessorize to give your look some pizazz. For example, for a bit of edge add a denim jacket or blazer. Since my outfit is neutral-based, to elevate the look I added a pair of yellow sandals for a pop of color. This could also work with a colorful handbag, earrings or bracelets.

Thanks so much for stopping by! XO ~ Michelle
