Hi guys! Have you ever tried StitchFix? As a former stylist, I’m probably a bit biased with their service. 😀 I enjoyed working with the company and styling some amazing customers. Plus, it’s a lot of fun to receive a Fix in the mail and the not knowing of what amazing fashion await you (kinda like a Christmas or birthday pressie).
For those unfamiliar with StitchFix, it’s an online personalized styling service. You create an online profile, answer a few questions about your style, etc., and then pick your delivery date. You can have a Fix sent to you on a specific date or or go with auto-scheduling (you receive a Fix once a month, once a quarter, you get the idea). You’ll get matched with a stylist who will pick five items (clothing or accessories) to send out to you. These items are selected based on your size, style preference and budget, as well as if you have any special requests for specific items – such as with mine. I requested white jeans. There is a $20 styling fee, but if you purchase any item in your Fix, you receive a $20 credit off your purchase.
When you unbox your Fix, you will receive an envelop with a “OH, Hello!” sheet that includes a note from your stylist and a styling card offering ways to wear each piece of clothing. You will also receive a “Thanks for letting us style you” statement, which breaks down the cost of each item.
In my Fix, I received a pair of mustard yellow cork wedges, white elbow-length sleeve top, printed blouse, green shorts and white boyfriend jeans. Let’s try everything on! 😀
Item #1 & 2: Daniel Rainn Split-neck Printed Blouse (wearing XS) and DV8 Layla Ankle Strap Wedges (wearing 8.5). How pretty is this blouse! It has a floral/leaf print with deep v-neckline (but it’s not too deep). Love the button-tab sleeves. Such versatility with this blouse. For work, style it with a pencil skirt or trousers and a block heel. Or, as I’ve done – pair it with shorts and wedges for a chic casual look. Or, add dark wash skinnies and stilettos for a night out on the town.
And how cute are these chunky cork wedges! This adorable pair will go great with sun dresses, jeans and so much more. I like that the color is more of a mustard yellow and not a bright yellow. These will be the perfect transitional sandal as we move towards fall.
Items #3 & 4: Tommy Bahama Elbow-length White Top (wearing XS) and Lila Ryan Susannah Short (wearing size 2, exchanging for a 0). This top is a great staple to have in your wardrobe. I have it tucked in, but it has a curved shirttail hemline which I like. I would say it is semi-sheer. Not see-thru, but you need to be cognizant of bra color. It has a relaxed, laid-back feel and the fabric and fit are very comfortable. Great basic!
The Lila Ryan shorts are incredibly soft. Seriously guys, probably the softest short I’ve ever worn. Wow! The inseam is around 4.5″ which is the sweet spot for me (I’m 5’6 for reference). I think these would look adorable with a striped navy top and loafers for a preppy look. And the pop of color is just so fun!
Item 5: Cosmic Blue Love Adrianne Boyfriend Jeans (wearing size 2). These white boyfriend jeans are so comfy and can be dressed up or down with ease. Love the cuffed detail and the relaxed fit in the legs (but they’re not too baggy either – they fit well in the waist, hips and butt). Another classic basic to have in your spring/summer arsenal. For something different, I just threw on the Tommy Bahama tee for a monochromatic look and added the wedges for a pop of color.
After you’ve tried everything on, determine what you want to keep and what, if anything, you wish to return. StitchFix allows you to take up to three days to decide what you want to buy and what to send back. If you need more time, you can get an extension. When you’re ready, log back into your profile (via app or website) and elect the items you’re keeping, returning, or exchanging. You will be charged for only the items you’ve decided to keep. Also, if you buy everything in your Fix, you receive a 25% discount off the entire box! Love that! 😀 StitchFix makes returns easy by including in your Fix a prepaid envelope. Just drop it into any USPS mailbox. Very convenient.
