Hi guys! Another trend has been spotted and it’s undeniably fierce for summer. 😀 I’m talking about animal print, in case you haven’t guessed. lol Although I personally don’t think animal print ever really goes out of style, these patterned prints have been making a strong presence this season. There are many ways to wear animal print for summer. Check out some of the cool animal printed pieces I discovered on a recent shopping trip:
Outfit Details: Cheetah Print Sweatshirt Tee (wearing XS) // Modern Slim Pocket Skinny Crop White Jeans (sized down to a 25) // Clark’s Kele Willow Slide Sandal (size 8.5). This top from the Loft is more sweatshirt than tee, in terms of its weight. It does have some heft to it but it’s oh-so-comfy and looks smart with white denim. For those who want arm coverage, this is a good option for you! Would look cute with shorts and slip-on sneakers. If you are in a southern climate, this top may be more suitable to wear during your fall/winter season since it is on the heavier side.
Outfit Details: Snake Print Crew Neck Tee (wearing XS). If you want to add some edge to your outfit, add a snakeskin print. This tee comes in both gray and natural and is super soft. There’s versatility in this top, as it can be worn with black dress pants and slingbacks for an office appropriate ensemble or with shorts and wedges for a casual day out.
Outfit Details: Tank Top (sized up to a Small) // Animal Print Midi Skirt (wearing XS). I love a midi skirt with a tank top or tee for a fun summer outfit. This skirt is so silky soft – perfectly lightweight on warm summer days. Add a multi-strand necklace and you have an ideal day-time ensemble.
Outfit Details: Crew Neck T-shirt (sized up, wearing a Small) // High-waisted Leopard Wrap Midi Skirt (wearing Small – no XS available – go with your normal size). This wrap midi skirt was a bit big, but you get the idea. I’ve tucked in a simple tee, but you can complete the look with a denim jacket and peep-toe booties for a chic ensemble, or for a more polished look, dress it up with a blouse and strappy heels.
Outfit Details: Flounce Sleeved Zebra Print Top (wearing XS) // High Waist Shorts (wearing size 2). A zebra print is so unexpected, yet so very chic and vogue. And how darling are the sleeve details!? I love everything about this! Stylish, classic, trendy .. what more can I say?
Outfit Details: Creped Sleeveless Dress (wearing size 2). To me, this has a more modern take on animal print dressing and that’s the beauty of this print – it does not have to be the traditional neutral colors we’ve come to know and love. Keep the rest of the outfit simple, pairing a neutral colored sandal and let the dress be your statement.
Outfit Details: Snake Skin Pattern Jersey Dress (wearing XS). I went wild over this dress. Love the rosey-pink snakeskin print which gives this darling dress a bit of playfulness. Talk about effortless style, comfort and dressing at its best. And it has pockets!!
Outfit Details: Leopard Print Midi Dress (wearing size 2 – no size 0 available – go with your normal sizing). Such a pretty dress! I like the tiered hemline and cinched waistline. I would even consider adding a skinny belt to add further definition. Slip on your favorite sandals and you’ve got the perfect weekend outfit.
Outfit Details: Button-front Chelsea Popover Blouse (wearing XS) // Modern Slim Pocket Skinny Crop White Jeans (wearing 25) // Leopard Print Crossbody Bag // The red pumps are currently unavailable on Express.com. 😦 You may be able to find them at your local Express, however. If you don’t feel like wearing animal print clothing, try a handbag. Love how this cross-body bag gives the outfit so much visual interest. Perfection!
Outfit Details: My sleeveless chambray button-down top is very old, but Target has a similar option. Click here. // Mid-rise Twill Everyday 7″ Shorts (wearing size 0) // Animal Print Belt (size XS) // Italian Shoemakers Selah Sandal (wearing size 8.5). If your style is classic and you don’t want to be overwhelmed by animal print, turn to accessories such as a belt, earrings or sandals. Adding a pop of your favorite spirit animal will keep your ensemble looking playful, yet sophisticated.
Whether you are pulling out your animal print pieces in your current wardrobe or investing in some new items, there are many ways to wear animal print this summer. Let me know how you love to wear this print. I’d love to hear from you! 🙂
