Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well. 🙂 I recently had a Target try-on session and was so happy to see that Target had so many great pieces and options that you can wear now and later as we transition into fall. Is anyone else ready for fall? I don’t want to rush the seasons, but fall is my favorite time of year. All items fit TTS, unless noted otherwise. Let’s get started…..
I just have two words to say: Pretty Woman. lol Does this not remind you of that iconic dress from the movie? Simply add a wide belt, slip on some white gloves and grab a coordinating hat and you’re channeling Julie Roberts (aka Vivian Ward). Too funny! 😀 Anywho, this super-adorable midi dress is lightweight and so easy to wear. I love the polka dot pattern and the faux wrap design of the skirt. It has an elastic waistline and matching tie-belt (which can be easily removed if you wanted to). If you have a wedding to attend, reunion or maybe a bridal or baby shower, this would be a great option. Would also be a great dress to take with you on vacation. The color is more of a rusty-brown. Come fall, throw on a denim jacket for extra warmth. Just a very classy dress.
By the way, the ankle strap sandals I’m wearing also come in black, navy, and pink color options.
Outfit Details: Short Sleeve Henley (wearing XS) // I’m surprised, but maybe I shouldn’t be, that these Universal Thread jeggings (in olive) are no longer available online. 😦 You may be able to find them at your local Target, however. My Target still had a good selection! Click here for a comparable dark wash jean (wearing size 2) // Ankle Strap Sandal (wearing 8.5).
If you’re a fan of what I would call “comfort styling”, then you’ll love this look. These henley’s come in a few colors and are great to wear with shorts, skirts or jeans. It has 4% spandex, so this henley does offer some stretch and give. It has a curved hemline and looks great both tucked in, as well as left out. You can definitely pair this with many bottom options. As for fit, I would say it follows the lines of the body. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, I would recommend sizing up one.
As for the jeggings, they have slits at the knee and a released hemline. The slits are more subtle, I think. I’ve definitely seen worse distressing. Love this total look. Both items are perfect to wear now (separately) or later (together), as these colors definitely resonate fall.
Outfit Details: Short Sleeve Henley (wearing XS) // High Rise Distressed Denim Shorts (sized down, wearing size 0) // Jisela Collapsible Back Loafers (wearing size 8.5). My sizing varies store by store. I go between a 0 and 2, depending on the cut, brand, etc. Normally I’m a size 2 at Target, but I sized down on these shorts.
This time, I slipped into the pink henley. So cute! I don’t know which henley color is my favorite. In addition to the two colors I tried on, they also have it in brown and coblestone (beige color). As for these shorts, they come in a 4″ inseam, which is a nice length. I love the distressed detailing on them – gives a casual-chic vibe. I have been on the look-out for a great pair of white denim shorts. Happy I found them.
I wish I would’ve given the loafers I wore with this outfit a bit more attention, because they have a really cool feature. Get this – you can wear them as a traditional loafer OR collapse the back and they transition into a mule. They are EXTREMELY soft and pliable. My only complaint is I felt the toe box was a bit too narrow for me. Otherwise, I really liked them. Definitely worth checking out.
This top is so dang cute! It has a bit of a boho, yet feminine feel to it. Love the navy tassel details and flounce sleeve. The print is a paisley-floral combination. Another great wear now, wear later piece. Pop this on with shorts or maybe white jeans and sandals. Oooh, that would be pretty! Come fall, as I’ve done, pair it with a dark wash denim skirt or maybe dark-wash jeans and ankle booties for a perfectly put-together look. Speaking of which, this denim skirt is really cute. And who couldn’t use a good A-line shape mini! The raw hemline is a fun twist on a classic piece.
This is the perfect summer-transition-to-fall outfit. The knit top comes in two colors – oatmeal (I’m wearing) and pink. I didn’t try the pink one on, but the oatmeal is on the sheer side. Not terribly bad that you need to wear a tank or cami, but you will need to wear a nude or white bra. I love the matching tie to nip in the waist. It has a high-low hemline, meaning the back has a longer length and gives good rear coverage. It’s the perfect top to pair with any of your favorite skinnies. Of which, these olive green button-flies are so comfortable (made of a stretchy cotton-blend). Typically I’m not a button-fly girl, but I really didn’t mind these. I don’t think the pictures online do them much justice – they look much better in person.
These slide-on sandals are absolutely adorable! The snakeskin pattern is so on-trend right now and is the perfect wear now, wear later sandal. Love the block heel, too. I would’ve kept them, but unfortunately the band across the foot is narrow (even for my narrow feet!) and rubbed to the point where I couldn’t wait to take them off. If you decide to give them a try, just something to keep in mind.
Seriously guys, THE softest sweater ever! EVER. I wish you could feel it. So soft and comfy. It comes in three colors: black, brown and olive. Great to wear now with shorts and later with jeans as we transition into the cooler months. It might be hard to see in the above picture, but it has cuffed sleeves and a small pocket on the left side. There is also seam detailing down the center. It’s more of a relaxed fit, not boxy, but certainly not fitted either. I have no doubt this one will sell out quick. Grab it while selection is still high. Really nice quality. Highly, highly recommend!
Thanks guys for stopping by! Enjoy your day and I’ll see you next time. XO ~ Michelle
