Hi Friends and happy Monday! How was the weekend? It was a pretty low-key weekend for us. Took Riley to the vet for her annual well check-up and shots. She’s never a fan of those visits, but handles it like a trooper. Then the rest of the day, she was our shadow, even when using the bathroom. #noprivacy lol
Recently I stopped by my local Ann Taylor and did a quick try-on session. They had some really cute work wear pieces that can easily take you from work to weekend. Also, I tried on a pair of AT jeans – first time! I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by their fit. Really nice jeans! Here’s a preview of some of the things I tried on.
Love, love, love this peplum wrap top! First off, it does have a snap closure – important detail with a wrap top. It has a tie waist to highlight the waistline and a hidden zipper for easy entry. It has structure (but no, it’s not stiff), yet is so feminine and floaty at the same time. Very refined and flattering! Fit TTS to me. The window pane pants are so fun and pair perfectly with this top. Love the tailored fit and ankle length (to show off your favorite shoes!).
Outfit Details: Colorblock Fringe Sleeveless Sweater (wearing XS) // Straight Leg Pant (wearing size 0) // Beaded Tassel Pendant Necklace // Snake Skin Printed Sandals (wearing size 8.5). I’m wearing the gray/multi which sold out online (you may be able to find at your local AT), but AT does offer a brown/multi option.
Another fabulous top! I absolutely LOVE this one. The color blocking (I mean black and white, you can’t go wrong! So classic and will never go out of style.), the fringe detail at the hemline – so on-point, and it just drapes beautifully. Super comfortable. Picture it with skinnies and strappy sandals for date night. The pants are equally as fabulous. Very comfortable and easy to move around in. Nice length and a true straight leg pant. Perfect for work or any special occasion where you need to elevate your look.
This top is really darling. It’s a very soft blue color with floral print. It is on the sheerer side, so I would recommend a cami underneath. Unless you plan to layer it under a blazer or cardigan, then you should be fine. Slip on your favorite pair of dress pants and pumps for an office-ready ensemble. Or, as I’ve done – pair it with skinnies (just add wedges) and it’s off to brunch with the girls. Speaking of which – these skinny jeans are really nice! Comfortable, easy to move around in and they don’t give me the impression that they will stretch out and lose their shape. The material was not too thin or thick. Just a really nice year-round jean. If you haven’t given AT jeans a try, I recommend it.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this ruffle wrap top initially, but when I tried it on – I really liked it! It comes in two color options – the ivory, which is what I’m wearing and a soft pale blue. Surprisingly, the ivory was not too see-thru. It has a side zipper for easy entry and the ruffles are a nice feminine touch. Very pretty! As for the skirt, as soon as I saw the color I had to try it on. Gorgeous, saturated teal-blue color. I will say this skirt ran large on me in the waist, so if you are in between sizes, size down. There is a zipper in the back for easy entry and the skirt is lined. Love the button detailing down the front side. It also comes in a natural (tan), white and pink color. Great option to wear now and in the fall with tights and boots.
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next time! xo ~ Michelle
