Nordstrom Try On Haul

Hello friends! How is everyone doing on this Monday? It is FINALLY feeling like fall here in Pittsburgh. Do you guys love this time of year? Or maybe just the fall fashion? 😀 For me, it’s a bit of both. I love the cooler weather, but not nearly as much as the fall fashion. lol Well, speaking of fashion – I swung by my local Nordstrom for an in-store try-on.

Outfit #1

This cardigan is very lightweight – perfect for year round wear. It’s a great staple for work or weekend. It comes in quite a number of colors. I’m wearing the rust sequoia, but in my pictures it’s coming off tan. But it is more of a rust color in-person.

I wanted to add a basic under the cardigan and this Halogen shell was the perfect pairing. It’s very comfortable to wear and can be worn all-year long. I’m wearing the ivory cloud, but it does come in two animal prints (snake and leopard). It has a longer length, good for tucking into your favorite jeans, dress pants or skirts.

I wish I had heels when I tried on this skirt. I look short in the midi skirt, so it doesn’t look properly proportioned on me, I think? But this skirt is very lovely. Love the polka dot pattern, which are also in that same rust sequoia color (against a navy background). It’s light weight, has nice movement and would look adorable casually with a denim jacket and tee.

Outfit #2

LOVE this Fall-essential. It is so soft and drapes nicely. It is an oversized fit (boyfriend fit, as the name suggests). I actually went down a size. It has a chest pocket and curved hem. Just perfect in every way!

Optional Look

These teddy coats are all the rage right now. Feels like every retail outlet or brand has their own version. So of course, I had to try this one on from Topshop. This adorable jacket has a zip-up front with nicely sized patch pockets. It has a nice length to it and is certain to keep you warm on a chilly Fall day.

Outfit #3

LOVE the sporty feel of this V-neck sweater. The sleeves are an orange-red color. It’s a cotton-blend, so it’s not itchy at all. Medium-weight and just very cute. Love it for Fall and football season!

Outfit Details: Treasure & Bond Stripe V-Neck Sweater (my size was unavailable, so wearing Small – stick with your normal size) // Paige Transcend Vintage Mid Rise Skinny Jeans (wearing size 26)

The jeans that I’ve been wearing are by Paige. I’m a big fan of this brand. They’re on the higher end scale, but they always fit well, are very comfortable and don’t stretch out like some other brands tend to after a few hours of wear.

Outfit #4

This knit top is a nice basic for Fall. I like the faux wrap detail with side ruching detail. It’s made of a rayon-blend, so it’s nice and soft. It runs big, so I would recommend sizing down. I’m wearing my normal XS (not offered in a XXS), which worked but it was slightly big on me. Perhaps I could’ve tried a petite. It comes in four color choices, including black, blue and red holly (rose color).

Outfit #5

If you are in an area where it stays warm throughout the Fall months, this could be a cute option for you. It’s very on trend with its statement sleeves. Love the peplum detail, which automatically gives you a waist. To me, the color looks to be a very muted pink or blush color, but online it states lilac.

Gotta say, I LOVE this snakeskin clutch that can also pull double-duty as a shoulder strap/crossbody. It can take your look for casual to dressy in seconds.

Outfit #6

Love everything about this look. Let’s talk about the adorable turtleneck with those cute stripes! This is an ivory background with burgundy stripes and it is lightweight and very comfortable. The turtleneck is not tight at all around the neck.

This is such an easy throw-on-everything cardigan. It has a boxy style to it and it is more oversized. If you like that oversized look, stay true to your size. I went down one size to a XXS and found that suited my frame better. It also has a shorter length, which could be cute with your favorite high-waist jeans. Although – with the KUT cords (which are a mid-rise), it works equally as well.

Love, love, LOVE these cords from KUT. They are my go-to all Fall and Winter long! If you haven’t tried them, I highly recommend. I think I own them in four colors. Kid you not. Seriously, they have 695 five-star reviews. Guys, if you need or want to try cords for the season – try these. They are soft (not stiff at all), they wash well and they just fit beautifully. And the colors – my goodness the colors they offer! I’m crushing on the burgundy. 😀
