Hi Everyone! Sweater dresses are a great option for fall, winter and early spring. If you recently bought a sweater dress or are looking to purchase one, but aren’t sure how to style it, I’m here to help. Styling your sweater dress is basically all about layering. Simply switch up the accessories, from tights to belts, shoes to scarves. First thing first – you need to find your perfect sweater dress. They come in different lengths and silhouettes. Today, I’m wearing a Turtleneck Sweater Dress from Banana Republic. I typically tend to size down in BR clothes. I’m wearing this dress in a XXS. I’m 5’6 for reference and you can see the length hits above the knee. It has a chunky cable knit design and is offered in a few different colors from ivory (which is what I am wearing), as well as black, brown, olive and fushia. It comes in regular, tall and petite. And because it’s a solid hue, it’s the perfect blank canvas for all my accessories.
Perhaps the easiest and most classic combination is to wear your sweater dress with a tall boot. I love a British tan boot with ivory.

Sweater dresses look amazing on their own, but I do love a sweater dress belted and paired with a classic kitten heel. Adding a belt can change the whole look of a dress (adds definition). Such a polished and finished look.

I absolutely love winter white! I kept this look monochromatic – wearing an ivory duster cardigan over my sweater dress. I’ve added a neutral kitten heel for a dose of elegance. Such a pretty look for a dinner date. And bonus with sweater dresses – they typically have a semi-fitted or relaxed fit, ideal if you ate too much food or wine.

Express yourself with a statement scarf. I went with a plaid blanket scarf. On mild days, rock your sweater dress sans tights. Couple with ankle booties for a cute and casual look.

Take a laid back approach and give your sweater dress a casual spin with a pair of sneakers. Such a playful look!

In this look, I’ve layered on an open cascading vest. Yes it adds an extra layer of added warmth, but it also incorporates color and texture to your outfit. Pairing black tights with black boots elongate the legs and also keeps you warm on a chilly winter day!

This sweater dress brings it all – comfort, style and versatility – and is so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend one in your seasonal wardrobe arsenal.

The sneakers and denim jacket look is great. I personally love sweater dresses with boots but the sneakers give this look a different dimension. You look gorgeous 🙂

I adore my sweater dresses espiecally durning winter, but also they have become a life saver after my operations as they are warm but loose over my abdomen, which is what I need x
