Sam Edelman Suede Ankle Boots – Macon

All fall and winter I had been on a mission to find the perfect ankle boot. Specifically, one that had a block heel. Not too high or low. In a solid black. With clean lines – I didn’t want anything that looked like a cowboy style boot. Or had buckles or other details. I didn’t want one that was too dressy either (I have a black leather ankle boot for such occasions).

Enter the Sam Edelman Macon Ankle Boot. LOVE this ankle bootie! It is exactly what I’ve been searching for and the one that I’ve been grabbing the most often ever since. I picked it up at – which btw, these booties are currently on a clearance price! I’ve been able to style these booties with jeans (cropped, skinny, etc.), leggings, and dresses. It runs TTS, so stick with your normal ankle boot sizing.

Let’s talk details! These black ankle boots are suede and have a side zip for easy entry. The block heel height is close to three inches. It has a double E emblem on the heel, as well as on the zipper pull. Simple details that just add additional style. Don’t be alarmed when you get them home and you see, what I would call distressing, at the toe. Initially I was like OMG, did I receive used shoes?! No, no, no. It is beautifully burnished on the toe to give it a bit of interest and style.

When it comes to wearing these ankle booties, I’ve found the easiest bottom to wear with them is a skinny jean. I feel like this combination is one that always looks good. A pair of skinnies, turtleneck and blazer make a chic outfit option that pairs excellently with these suede ankle boots.
