Talbots Try-on Session!

Hey there! Happy April Fools Day friends!! No tricks or jokes here, just lots of goodies 🙂 Today I’m sharing a small Talbots try on session. There were quite a few pieces in the Talbots Spring catalog that I adored. It was tough to narrow down my selection to just a few pieces to try on for you today. For size reference, I’m 5’6 and wear an XS. Everything fit TTS.

First up – this super cute gingham button-down shirt. It’s such a classic piece to have in your wardrobe and one that you’ll wear year-round. It’s made mostly of cotton with just a touch of spandex. Love it!

LOVE the daisy statement necklace! First off, daisies are one of my favorite flowers. Secondly, for being a statement it’s not heavy at all. And lastly, it’s just so pretty and feminine. There are five daisies (outer are small flowers that gradually get larger towards the middle) with a crystal center. It has a nice lobster clasp and will go with all your Spring and Summer outfits. So darling!

Polka dots – what a fun way to add a bit of oomph to your look. Available in blue or white knit, this adorable sweater features black dots on a soft, 100% cotton base. It’s a feminine sweater, medium-weight, that looks great dressed up or down. I’ve styled it over the gingham shirt for a fun mix of patterns!

This aptly named “charming cardigan” is just that …. charming. Whether you slip this cardi over the coordinating shell, basic tee or over your favorite dress – you’ll love the versatility! It’s soft, the buttons are dyed to match, it offers a crew neckline and bracelet length sleeves. I’m wearing the sea shell color option which is a very pretty, muted pink. It also comes in eight other colors – all fab for Spring!

If you’re looking for a monochromatic look, this shell is a great option. It matches back to the cardigan. But don’t limit yourself – you could wear this shell under a patterned cardigan, denim jacket or even a blazer.

I love slingbacks and I so terribly wanted these to work out. But, no! 🙁 The ankle strap rubbed my ankle in all the wrong ways in the first few seconds to minute I had them on. Bummer. But, they do get good reviews, so maybe they’ll be comfortable on your foot. There are a few pluses to these gems – the leather is pebbled and feels supple, great gold accented heel and very stylish almond shaped toe. Looks a bit like a loafer. Talbots offers them in this warm blush color (doesn’t look blush to me lol) and navy.

I can see you wearing these slingbacks for casual get togethers or dressy events (whenever social distancing becomes a thing of the past).
