The village chronicle "grub and frenshof through the ages" was presented at a ceremony at the elementary school officially presented. Historian monika riemer-maciejonczyk has summarized the history of her hometown on 140 pages.
As mayor georg hollet explained, the burghers of grub and frenshof had met in the course of the village renewal to exchange and write down what was known from history. Old pictures were also collected. Intergenerational cooperation and painstaking research were carried out in the process. Hollet: "it's not easy to write thick books about the history of small towns. Nevertheless, lively and interesting contributions await the reader in our chronicle."
Riemer-maciejonczyk, herself a native of frenshofen, focused her attention on the historical origins of the city. According to his own statements, the preparation of the historical context was based exclusively on archives, files, written sources and thus on verifiable material. She was thus able to confirm the first naming of grub in 1278 for frenshof, the research revealed that the first written mention can be backdated by ten years, to 31.July 1530.

This is how you can change the world in a fair way
The world should become different and more just, fairer. At least that is what the "weltfairanderer" have decided at the dr.-ernst-schmidt-realschule ebern on their flags. They want to draw attention to the fact that the resources in our world are not inexhaustible and that everyone can contribute to making the world a better place. It is not only a matter of talking about it, but also of taking concrete action.
Verena hack, education officer at the church youth work of the diozese of wurzburg, is active in a theme tent in ebern with eight employees who lead and accompany the project. "The idea for the project came from mainz and is now being continued in several dioceses," says verena hack, says the young woman. Not only students from the secondary school took part in the project in ebern, but also various other groups, such as the "I-have-a-dream-group" from kirchlauter committed to social causes. A group from the kindergarten and the senior altar boys from ebern also took part in a workshop. "Oh yes, from sendelbach the evangelic church group 'rocksofa' was there, who held a service in our tent", says verena hack.
Magazine publishers call for media use as a school subject

"We are vehemently in favor of schools learning what which medium stands for," said managing director anina veigel in an interview with the german press agency. Teachers also needed to "know a lot more about new media because we have a gross information overload".
With the help of the state government, the association also wants to exert pressure to prevent an eu directive planned in brussel that would newly regulate data protection and online tracking. The so-called e-privacy directive has caused publishers’ digital advertising sales to plummet by 30 percent, veigel said. The circulation did not create a plus in data protection and made the magazines less attractive for the advertising market. In the end, the winners are U.S. Companies like google, facebook and amazon, "which per se have a lot of data about their users and – one sometimes gets the impression – can do whatever they want.
First comes the auditorium

The 50 year old assembly hall and the toilets are to be demolished. The gym from the 1970s will also be torn down, along with the dressing rooms. Before that, dust walls will be pulled in to minimize the impact on the rest of the school building. The elementary and middle school with its eleven classes and 225 students will probably have to live with the construction site for a while.
In the first phase of construction, the municipality of frensdorf has set its sights on the renovation and renovation of the auditorium with a multi-purpose room, new toilet facilities and the redesign of the playground. The conversion is to create a multipurpose room that can be separated from the auditorium with a sliding wall.
Courage for the new school

Ekkehard roepert
Karlheinz schoofs is pleased about the "new way". If only because "it has to do with grassroots democracy", emphasizes the principal of the ehrenburg grammar school. The impetus to return to the nine-year gymnasium came from the parents in bavaria, karlheinz schoofs recalls. "And the work we have to do with it, we do gladly."
The advantages of the G9 model are obvious to the head of the egf: "in the nine-year high school, we have time to coordinate school and extracurricular activities." During the G8 period, for example, it was not easy to organize a vocational internship "because the week plays into the lessons. Even the exchange trips to spain, poland or italy are more relaxed "when the timetable stretches over nine years". School-based learning experiences now had more room again.
"Because the schools need the maturity", ingrid kafferlein, head of the herder grammar school, was "enthusiastic about G9 right from the start. But although jurgen sauer, the deputy head of herder, has also experienced the disadvantages of the G8 too much, he emphasizes: "there is something to carry on". The G8 model will be replaced by the "double period principle" retained. This rhythmization allows for an exam-free period. The herder will therefore continue to schedule compulsory classes on tuesdays and thursdays, elective classes on mondays and wednesdays, and friday afternoons will remain free. And "another positive" G8, says jurgen sauer: "the intensification lessons help to deepen content and make up for lost time."
No afternoon classes in the middle school and "more freedom of choice" in general – this is ingrid kafferlein's good news for the new G9 generation. One wish remains open, however: "in the future, high school graduates should also have greater freedom of choice." Without lowering the level of graduation, for example, consideration should be given to "whether you have to take a written exam in all three school-leaving subjects", says the herder boss.
Sports badges for almost 500 schools
Jumping strength, speed, endurance, coordination and quickness were in demand, and the result was a record number of participants: the girls and boys of the herzogenaurach elementary school are particularly sporty. The sports badge is only awarded to those who jump far, run fast and have stamina. 486 out of 547 girls and boys from herzogenaurach succeeded in doing so.
Sports badges were awarded at the carl-platz-school and at burgstaller weg. "Such a participation is unique in the district of erlangen-hochstadt and exemplary for the whole of bavaria", praised BLSV district chairman walter fellermeier at the award ceremony. Mayor german hacker was not sparing with praise either. "We expected up to 50 sports badges and were pleasantly surprised by 486 sports badges", the mayor highlighted the achievement.
Weibe balloons against forgetting

White balloons as far as the eye can see. One balloon after another rises into the gray november sky on this thursday morning at the school center. The women's hang-outs carry an important message: for tolerance, equality, freedom, and against prejudice, exclusion and forgetting! The balloons have quotes from sophie scholl and dietrich bonhoeffer attached to them, as well as very personal lines from their senders, the students from different grades and types of school.
Two of them are sabrina and lea. The two eleven-year-olds attend the siegmund-loewe secondary school. They each chose a quote from the two people who were victims of the nazi regime and attached it to their balloons. On the back of the card, the women of kronach have written what peace means to them personally.
Building yard and fire department move together

The municipality of gadheim is planning to build a new, joint domicile below the school in gadheim for the municipality’s building yard and for the gadheim-ottendorf volunteer fire department. The municipal council was informed in its meeting on monday evening that the cost is a good two million euros.
Rainer kitzinger of the engineering firm of the same name in wulflingen explained that, due to the slope of the site, a terraced building on three levels was planned. While the building yard will occupy the upper part of the building and the fire department will use the lowest wing, the middle part will be available to both. For the building yard, a vehicle hall, storage rooms, a washing area, changing rooms and sanitary facilities, workshops, parking spaces, offices (also for the mayor) and a roofed open area are planned.
With “rocky” into the blue hour

There is a special blue in the sky that can be seen between dawn and sunset. Chansonniers refer to it, novelists too. Blue hour – the blue hour is suitable for concerts or at least as a program title. Like on thursday evening in the gymnasium of the meranian high school, while the sky was anything but blue.
But what brightened the spirits of the visitors from 7 p.M. Onwards was the concert by the MGL big band under the direction of iris arnal. In the end the big band should even become a very big band. The meranian high school not only has a great jazz band, but also a decent offspring of people interested in a style of music that emerged in the 1920s.
Who pays for the study?
Christoph rustler is 17 and would like to leave as little as possible on his parents' pockets. "I think that's the way it should be." He works a job while going to school, even though he's running out of time. All the more scarce, the closer the abiturprufungen in the spring jerken. He is principled and does not want to abandon them even if he enrolls in business school in october. He has not yet made up his mind, but he is tempted by an apprenticeship. "In order to already have something firm in hand.", he says.
Education for all
As a student, he would probably be forced to die against his wishes, even though he continues to work part-time. He would be financially again more dependent on his parents. Expensive rents in bavarian cities, high cost of living, semester ticket – and tuition fees. "It's not easy, you can get rid of your money very quickly", says the bad kissinger. That's why many of his acquaintances didn't enroll at a university in bavaria, but went to thuringia and saxony. Education is cheaper there. Actually, however, should be freely accessible. "Schools don't cost anything", says rustler. Tuition fees exclude poorer people in his opinion.
